History exploration route
From "Suehiro", the boat lodge of Jirocho of Shimizu, a gangster from the end of the Edo period and the Meiji period, we follow the former JNR Shimizu Port Line, which was closed in 1984, to "Togoro Inari", located near the Miho Kaido road. The shrine enshrines a man who worked hard as a representative of the Miho farmers, who were suffering from reduced harvests at the site of the Ansei Great Earthquake. We then continue to the former Miho Station (now Miho Fureai Hiroba), tracing the history from the end of the Edo period to the Showa period.
