My father, Saburo Hagiwara, was a professional keirin racer and loved cycling until he was 65 years old. He rode hard to get from his home (Okawachi) to Shizuoka Keirin Stadium. He rode on a fixed-gear bike. I thought it would be great if I could help make the Abe Kaido, where my father loved to ride, safe and follow the rules, so I set up a bicycle station.
